Our one-year-old nephew Jake, child model extraordinaire, recently graced the walls of The Children’s Place in a life-sized posterboard.
Ever so coincidentally, he also managed a solo trip to visit us in Evanston for the day. Ah, what a wondrous day it was.
It started out with the cousins hanging out together on the lawn…
A light game of soccer ensued:
Jake got a piggypack ride from Uncle Andrew. Ah, the giggles…
He even gave Alli’s bike a spin:
Tough to keep a helmet on that boy!
Even almost took a tumble…
Hung out with the neighbors for awhile. Kevin’s also a year old; Jake sure seems big for his age…
Then things got really dangerous as Jake got behind another set of wheels…
Alli sure dug the joy ride, though:
This took so much energy out of them both that we had to go eat:
Jake, of course, ordered the French Toast Flambé:
He was all, I’ll have it on the rocks, please…
Then he chugged a milk chaser:
Finally, we got sick of him whining about being ready for the beach and took him there:
Jake even performed CPR on the girl in blue who keeps stalking him:
Still not satiated, Jake insisted on a brief excursion to Pisa:
Having bought his own set of blue capris in Italy, Jake returned home exhausted from the day’s activities.
Wow, what a day! It was hard to say goodbye. Come visit again soon!
